Zola Taylor

Zola Taylor was born in Los Angeles on March 17, 1943, At age 14 Taylor was already singing as a back up singer for the vocal group the Queens. Adding a female vocalist to The Platters helped them stand out from all the other vocal groups of that time. Zola was so young that she many times doubled as Paul Robi’s younger sister in order to get in to some of the night clubs while on tour.
